3 tips atasi sengal otot dan sendi lepas bersenam – Exercise Journal : Day 4

Bismillah hirrahman nirrahim.

Mula rasa sengal selepas bersenam? 3 kunci : Warm up, omega-3, vitamin C.

Day 4 :
20 high knees
10 push ups
20 second plank
(2 sets)

Alhamdulillah, dah masuk hari ke-4! High knees makin lancar, Darrell pun tolong kira pagi tadi. I feel great! Push ups pun makin bagus, esok kita tambah jadi 20. Buat planking, Darrell boleh tadah muka tepi kepala aku. Pelik agaknya, nak kata sujud, bukan sujud. Apa-apa ajelah mak.

Cerita kat Ina, kawan opis ku, dia dok pelik kenapa aku beriya-iya buat push up segala, sebab semalam aku cerita kat dia tangan rasa lain macam sikit. Aku kata, nak sihat, nak tambah otot kat lengan, senang nak dokong Darrell. Hahahaha.

Semalam mengkaji kat Google, cari apa yang boleh buat untuk kurangkan sore muscle after exercise, ataupun delayed onset muscle soreness. Inilah yang aku alami kelmarin dan semalam! Disarankan untuk

  1. Buat warm up dan stretching sebelum mula senaman – CHECKED
  2. Makan makanan kaya omega-3 untuk elakkan radang (inflammation) pada sendi. Makanan kaya omega-3 : ikan salmon, chia seed, flaxseed, ikan sardin.  – CHECKED
  3. Makanan yang ada vitamin C, kerana vitamin C boleh bantu menyingkirkan asid laktik yang berkumpul dalam otot selepas bersenam dan bersukan. Cadangan makanan : brokoli, buah-buahan sitrus, nenas, lada benggala hijau. – CHECKED

Banyak rumah buat open house sempena raya, kan? Asal weekend je penuh dengan jemputan. Pemurah betul rakyat Malaysia. Muhibbah dan penuh warna warni.
Tapi, tau tak apa itu open house di Malaysia? Aku dapat e-mail ni, nak share lah kat sini 🙂
It is already the third week of Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration and the traffic in the cities are back to its usual morning crawls.

However, Raya ‘Open House’ invitations are just beginning to be sent out and weekends are quickly filled with one invitation after another.

So, what is an ‘Open House’?

An ‘Open House’ is a culture that is uniquely practiced in Malaysia and rarely seen in other parts of the world. It is widely celebrated in the country by various races of Malaysia. This is when we invite our colleagues, partners, friends and family to feast on traditional delicacies that are specially made during festive seasons.

Raya ‘Open House’ is all about feasting on good food, savory lemang, decadent rendang and juicy satay. How is it possible for you to refuse it?
Here are some tips on how you can stay healthy without depriving yourself from all of those delicacies:-
  • 1.    Drink a lot of water – steer away from sweet drinks
  • 2.    Eat a little of everything – take a bit of everything from the buffet table as not to deprive yourself from the good food as well as to prevent from bingeing
  • 3.    Vegetables are good – the ulam (traditional veggies) platter and the satay condiments are your best friend
  • 4.    Fruit up! – as the saying goes, ‘an apple a day, keeps the doctor away’. Eat more fruits instead of the usually Raya cookies and desserts
Keep in the spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and maintain the lessons of Ramadhan. Hari Raya is a joyous time to express thanks for everything the Almighty has blessed us with. It is for us to enjoy each other’s company and maintain friendly ties with one another.
